Good morning!
It’s Sunday, the day after, well, yesterday and wow…..how business sure can change in the blink of an eye!
You see, it happened yesterday on Saturday morning. I had just finished breakfast with Jane Mark and Phil Bastion of SoKule.com (really GRAND folk – such a kick to talk with them!) and others, and started my journey back to NJ.
Now, keep in mind that I’ll be leaving for Las Vegas for Dr. Ben’s End of the World Internet Marketing event next Thursday….plus the following is on me agenda.
- Create next product for 7/31/12 – going to be on Offline and WordPress
- Incorporate passive funnels into my site
- Set up products on JVzoo
So! I figured that between Saturday afternoon and Wednesday night, Id have enough time to get it all finished. But! ‘Twas my parents birdieDay, and I decided I’d swing by Shoprite to pick up bunche of happy shiny Mylar ballons.
Sounds grand, right?
Well, I was just exiting the Lincoln Tunnel when I called my dad to alert him to my arrival…and found out that my mom had fallen earlier. Long story short – I ditched the balloons idea, zoomed on over, and got my mom to the hospital (turns out she had broken her ankle).
These things happen; family is first and foremost a priority! So by late afternoon, I made sure both parents were doing okay and then drove home to pounce with the 4 kids, 2 mooses and husband. Yay! Relaxing time! The husband cooked us all grand Chinese food, and I figured I could get up at 2am, work until 8am, pick up my dad, go to the hospital and such. Sure, me timing might have been smooshed a wee bit…but hey. Nothing I can’t handle!
Until the 11:30pm call last night where I heard my dad went to the ER too (complications from an earlier bone break).
So! This morning I re-zoomed back to the hospital, got there around 5am and found he had been discharged an hour earlier. I’m now writing this at my parents’ home computer; he’s sleeping, doing better, and we’ll start the day together shortly.
Let me now ask you.
Where does this all leave me business?
Hmmmmmm?
Yep…I will be going to the hospital every day (or me husband will). I will be focusing first and foremost on my parents/family.
So….again.
Where does this leave me business?
I’ll tell you where – dynamic.
You see, life…it just *happens*. It might not happen the way you desire, it might not happen in ways that cause you to sprout daisies and frolick with unicorns….but hey.
Tough earlobes! You can’t turn the clock back…you have to DEAL.
And here’s how I’m dealing.
It sure does highlight to me that I need to outsource, that’s one thing! Plus, I need to let something GO.
Do I hold off on releasing my next product?
Do I hold off on funnel building?
Do I hold off on JVzoo?
One thing, methinks, HAS to go…..so which do you think I’m going to pick?
