My very first mentor online, Bill Vick:
Back in 1998, he hired me to achieve front page search engine rankings in Google for his recruiting company (back when Infoseek did real time page indexing!). He also opened doors for me I never could have done meself (that was the year I wrote The Internet Recruiting Edge; I'm one of the original pioneers of Internet sourcing and his help and guidance made me a breakout success).
My very first Internet marketing mentor, Tony Blake:
I first contacted Tony back in 2000 or so when I started branching out into other niches including real estate marketing, home improvement and the like. Tony would always share tons of ideas that I'd never have considered back then (they're second nature, now, but wow, back then….it was a brave new world indeed!).
The Febmoms:
Back in 1995, I was pregnant with my first child and came across an Internet mailing list called the Febmoms. I joined and it was nifty neat and get this: believe it or not, we still email each other to this day (15+ years later!).
We've watched our kids grow from playing kickball with our bladders during pregnancy to our febkids being teenagers. They've been a constant source of, well, normality to me and I'm proud to be a member.
