Yep. Hope today goes a wee bit better.And the latest in Lingland!
Like I mentioned last week, my iPhone 5s stopped working on data. Wah!
So I ordered a refurbished one from Amazon…. it came and the touch screen didn’t work. Double wah!
I returned it
with a slightly less polite note than I could have written (note to Barbara – wait before complaining).
Got a message in response – so sorry, here’s a 10% coupon off!
I responded, thanks! Any chance for 20% off?
Answer yes!
I went to purchase… and that particular phone listing had expired. More wahs! I was told, oh well, buy it anyway at the higher price, the 20% will knock it down to the original price…..
… which would have negated the 20% coupon anyways.
So…. I revisited Amazon, chose a 32meg phone instead of a 64meg phone, and ended up paying $80 less anywhos … from a different vendor.

Where was I? Ah yes, Friday!
Big huge realization for two of my kids, there was… so I made sure they saw it this morning when they got up.
That’s my Big Huge White Board, btw, fondly known as the BHWB. :)Sometimes it’s difficult for people to remember that….
… and I want to ensure my kids never forget it. One thing I realized (and shared at my wall):
“…Communications shine.
ALWAYS but always be on the lookout if your friend/family members/etc act in a somewhat unusual way.
Chances are, there are things going on in their life about which you have no clue.
Make it easy for people you love to reach out and ask to talk to you.
Don’t judge. Just be there. And listen. And validate. And let them know that while you cannot solve their issues, you CAN figuratively walk side by side with them, and let them know you believe in them, always and forever.
Life is too short to allow yourself to be hurt by actions caused by unthinking folk. There’s always a space between the provocation and your reaction… make sure to use that space wisely and be a hero.”

Totally miserable day yesterday – total flare up. Woke up today, going to write/do my usual and then just go back to bed.
Stop the world, I want to get off.
