It’s Monday!
Actually, gnope, it’s still Sunday around 7:30pm.
Yesterday/today was……
Character-building.
Kid3 finally arrived from the airport at around 2am Sunday morning (flight was delayed 2 hours).
And on Sunday?
Well, good news was, got to the gym!
So yay there.
That was the best part of the day, actually.
During the afternoon, let’s just say that Kid3 and I had some, ahem, discussions of some differences we had/have/will always have/that’s life/deal with it/etc.etc.etc.
And THAT was hugely painful indeed.
I’m reminded of my eldest when he was 17… and my youngest when he was 13….
Put those 2 together and then multiply it by 8759867489.
That was about the angst level that happened yesterday.
Suffice it to say… like I said, yesterday was character-building.
So we’ll see what happens in the future.
And I apologize for no newsletter on Sunday – I managed to stay up *until* kid3 came home (aka 2am) and then was up until 3am or so and yep….
Yesterday was just shot to heck for me again.
Still, though, we’re above ground all and all….

Where was I?
Ah yes, Saturday!
But first:
Ever have an insane desire just to make things happen?
Or even better… design your own routine so that it becomes second nature… and then scale it when time allows?
As the minutes and days and years and centuries go by, sometimes you find yourself losing that critical spark which energized your prior business during uncountable years in the past.
Thing is, sometimes, through no fault of your own, that spark … well, it diminishes.
Either you find yourself jaded about the way of the world in general….
… or your health decreases to the point that simply managing a daily routine becomes far more difficult…
… or other things occur in your personal life that douses your business spark until it is unable ti re-ignite.
What do you do then?
Well, several things, I would reckon.
First, I’d say you should give yourself time to mourn and find out *exactly* what you’ve lost.
It could be the excitement of passing on what you have learned….
… or it could be that you’re simply tired.
Whatever it is, chances are, a part of you resist acknowledging that current fact, and your refusal to admit it to your self could be holding you back and preventing you from leveling up when required.
Thus, be honest with yourself. If it helps, write down what you feel you’ve lost, why it bothers you, and all that jazz. Really get a “feel” for what needs to be fixed in your life.
Once that is done, give yourself a few minutes or hours or even a day or 8374573 days to recognize that these things happen and make peace with it.
Remember – the lack *now* doesn’t detract from your past and current successes…. all it means is that you must turn on a dime and see just how else you can regroup and rebound.
Whatever you realize from that honesty, again… write it down. Perhaps have a chat with people you *trust* about it. Get it out of your system…. chances are then, the weight you are feeling *now* will decrease.
Next, ask yourself:
“Jeepers self, what can I do NOW?”
This is actually a very character-building thing to consider. For example, I used to be able to dash off 2 products every week, zero issues with that…. but health and thingees have definitely made that something that will never return.
Once you’ve mourned what is gone, take that knowledge, wrap it up in a red bow, wish it well, and then consider a ‘realistic’ way to bounce back.
Just because things have changed… it doesn’t mean your current lack will leave a hole in your soul and psyche and money-making abilities that will never be filled!
Instead, if you still enjoy your skillset, but times have changed and it’s impossible to return to your super productive past…
Revisit what you *can* do and plan your actions accordingly.
What used to take 10 minutes, might take 10 hours.
That’s okay. Use that knowledge to *plan*.
What used to require days to outline might now require months.
Can you outsource any part of your work right now? If so, do so!
Next, i’d internalize with the force of a thousand suns…..
NEVER compare yourself negatively with your colleagues.
Rebound in the very best way *you* can… and ignore the tweebleheads who you think are outstripping you and laughing at your troubles.
Chances are… the only person who *really* knows what you are going thru is *you*… and quite frankly, you’re not that important for others to spend their lives dwelling on your successes or failures (in other words, if you have a launch disaster, or you publicized a challenges at which you failed dismally, folks might say, sucks to be you!, but then move on with their *own* deliverables.
And finally, what about regaining that lost spark?
You know, it could be that at different stages in your life, your spark *evolves*. What gave you pleasure and excitement *then*….
… might leave you cold *now*.
And that’s okay! Honor what you had, honor what you’ve lost… and give yourself permission to be open-minded about future adventures and goals.

And what a freakin’ heck of a day was Friday.
I ended up having only 4 hours of sleep, so I decided to dedicate myself to going to sleep at 8pm.
Given that it’s now, oh, closer to 11pm than 8pm, you can see how great *that* is doing.
Sigh.
Anywhos, did get to the pool yesterday….
… and afterwards, had a lunch date at Costco with the husband.
He insisted on getting the car for me:
That way, I didn’t have to hobble my way over to the car.
Extremely thoughtful he was. I had a moment of wanting to go all ornery-like – “I can still walk! Let me know!” but managed to smoosh down that desire as well. 🙂
I guess I’m no longer 27 and my body is rebelling about that hard-like.
I’ll probably write more about it tomorrow, but wow….
…. sometimes it’s really tough to keep being instrumental in motivating others, when all you want to do is hide under blankets and come out in, say, 2020.
