101 Cool Back To School Knowledge Tools Embraced by Teachers for Kids

Back to school is coming SOON to a town near you!  Heck, who could ever forget the Staples Masterpiece:

But I digress.  :)

Anywhos, I just came across

100 Essential Web 2.0 Tools for Teachers

which lists some truly excellent resources that can help students learn, interact and grow in their scholastic education.  Some of the tools teachers can offer include:

Yapa Capa!   A free blackboard for teachers & students.   Teachers can create assignments and tests, which are scored and analyzed and share other teachers tests as well.

Simple Solver  Very easy to use tool for collaborative projects, brainstorming and problem solving. Students will enjoy using this for group discussions.

Shidonni  A virtual world for young children. They can create imaginary worlds and animals, play games and interact with each other.

Smilebox  Especially good for class blogs, this tool has some nice templates. Classmates can share photos or save them for their own projects.

Mayomi  A free flash-based mind mapping tool that lets you map out ideas, projects, research topics, or anything else that can be dug into. Great for students when it comes to writing essays.

ArtRage 2  You and your students can paint with thinned oils, use wet or dry markers, soften the pencil and control the hardness of the crayon, and much more.

edublogs  A free blog-hosting site for educators and students of all ages….MORE….

Since school is approaching us faster than a Mack truck driven by Dora the Explorer, it’s time for you to ask yourself – what online skills and resources have you given your kids to better succeed at school?

Think about it.

By the time they’re in the work-world like you and me, they’ll HAVE to be web-savvy to succeed….give them that added benefit of ensuring they’re always on the cutting edge of knowledge development.

Their future income will thank you for it. :)
