I’m thrilled to learn that Victor Buddy Amato, the Chief of Police of the MCSPCA in my state, will be honored by the National Humane Society of the United States on Saturday, 9/26/09.

Guilty Plea for leaving dog in car
EATONTOWN – On 8/1/09, Mr. Matthew Delaura pled guilty in front of Judge Apostolu for leaving his Stafford Terrier in his car at the Eatontown Mall for over half an hour in 80 degree weather.

He was fined over $250 but Chief Amato downgraded the charge to the civil penalty, due to the suspect’s respectful demeanor in reference to the offense….

Woman admits abandoning cat
KEANSBURG: A Keansburg woman pleaded guilty to animal abandonment charges in Municipal Court Thursday.

Mayra Delgado, 25, of Oakwood Place was fined $575 for abandoning her pet cat last month, said Victor "Buddy" Amato, chief law enforcement officer for the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals….

Guilty fine – dog left in car while owner went golfing
HOLMDEL – On 7/12/09, Mr. Michael Juo left his dog in a car while he played golf at a golf course in Millstone Townshipe. He was charged with animal curelty for leaving the dog in a vehicle in inhuman conditions….

Groundhog and cat cruelty
HOLMDEL – On 7/19/09, Mr. Dan Kong trapped a groundhog and also a young cat. The cat was taken to an area outside the county and dumped; the groundhog was left in the trap in the heat for at least a day….

Dog left in car while owners strolled on boardwalk
KEANSBURG – On 8/8/09, Chief Amato received a phone call from the Keansburg Police Department that a dog was in their large lot on the boardwalk area…..

Man fined $250 for leaving dog in car at Tinton Falls outlet mall
TINTON FALLS – A 61-year-old Morris County man has been fined $250 for leaving his dog in his car at a Route 66 shopping center, officials said.

James G. Krah, of Mountain Lakes, pleaded guilty this morning in municipal court to animal cruelty, said said Victor "Buddy" Amato, chief of the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals….

Great to see such heros for voiceless victims!  Kudos to them all.
