Hi Barbara, Thank you for your feedback...not quite that advanced on technie stuff! Will look at the Theme preview plugin & BayRSS but I usually (just like you) change the sidebar code & preview. I've tried to delete part of the eBay code to remove the eBay logo but it's not working. Can make background white etc. Which part (if it can) of the code needs to be deleted? Yes, I’ve hacked my own scripts to do that; it’s ‘way advanced stuff. So instead, I focused my tutorial on using tools already available via the eBay program.

http://bayrss.barbaraling.com might be a tool that does want you want…. (my stuff has no users manual/how to’s etc. as it’s homegrown and resides in my mind).

Hi Barbara, Checked out your Editor Kit tutorial...but I knew how to do this & went back into eBay to try to do same as you've done above..... (javascript code) eBay header still shows up & your code in source file is not same. The items at the end of your post above you said... might I interest you in is using code thru cgi bin and ebaystatic jpgs. like (how do you create this code without eBay banner etc? Your Insane Indulgences on side bar also use cgi bin which I'm not familiar with. Do you use a program? ....Gaida's last blog post..Free Web 2.0 Traffic Video

Hello Barbara –

found my way here through the Men With Pens comment section and thanks to CommentLuv.

I really liked this article as I’m just now investigating ways to make a little side money with my blog. The problem I have is I really love my template, however, it’s only a 2 column theme with not-so-much-space for ads.

I’m considering doing what Darren does on Problogger and increasing the size of my footer for a few amazon links and stuff.

Anyway, nice blog you have here and I’m subscribing to rss and will be reading this series over the next couple of days.

f.y.i. I stumbled and dug this article because I loved the idea you had on creating a test template. Like you, I’m always tinkering with my code.

Really? I never had a problem when using the Theme previewer – I was able to verify that by viewing my site via a different browser (where I wasn’t logged in as admin).
