Good morning!

Well, it looks like after massive angsting, ankle fusion definitely IS in me future.

So what is the first thing I do (thanks to Debbie Benstein for her smart idea!)?

Why, create a Pinterest board about Ankle Fusion and Ankle Replacement!

Yep – the husband (the wisest man I know) had a serious chat with me yesterday about how if its going to be required in the future….get it done asap.

And I’m researching it right now.

Couple of things I’ve internalized:

1.)  You need your ankles to walk to the kitchen to make coffee.  Figured I’d get the most important thing out of the way first.

2.)  Did I mention coffee?

3.)  Zero weight bearing kinda sorta long term.  This means I’ll be immobile for more than a brief moment in time.

So….mentally I’m in the right place and the next step is to schedule it out and make it so.

And….how did I make ankle fusion lemonade out of this?

Why, by creating the ankle fusion board of course!

Hopefully I can help others as well.

Will keep y’all posted!

Grow strong,

Barbara Ling
