Admit it.

I’m learning to write headlines!  :)

So!  It’s now been 3 days since I’ve returned from Las Vegas where I gave the talk lots have been asking me about:

The FULL Story Behind….THIS!
http://www.barbaraling.com/insights/how-to-turn-failure-into-money/

Can you BELIEVE it’s almost been a year since this happened?

Wow….just….WOW.

And my talk….oh my!  It was as though I hadn’t stopped giving seminars over the past 10 years – dynamic, exciting, relevant, and it really reached my audience grand.

I was truly, profoundly…..*grateful* to my guardian angels to have this opportunity.  Barbara Ling has returned to the speaker circuit!

And then….

And then.

And then, at 4:30am this past Monday, I was sitting at my desk, getting ready to pack up me laptop, when…<insert scary music here!>

I moved my feet.

Betcha you didn’t see THAT one coming!  Yes indeedy, I moved my feet and felt a >click!< >eeek!<  <JEEPERS I CANNOT PUT ANY WEIGHT ON MY FEET> moment.

To this day, I have no idea what happened.  The end result was I had to hobble me way to the airport and thru security with a left foot that shrieked in agony whenever any weight was placed on it.

So…the day played out like this.

  • See Barbara.
  • See Barbara shine the day before!
  • See Barbara crash and burn the day after!
  • Wheeeee!

Character-building indeed it was!

Anywhos, I did manage to get home (yay!), saw the doctors and was told it’s a bone-on-bone bruising (not yet at ankle-fuse time, yay!).  Thing is, though….

I can no longer walk normally.

But you know something?

  • These things….well…they happen.  I could be a heck of a lot worse off!

So I’m redoing me business plan for the next 4 months…and we’ll see how things work out!

Had a grand talk with a wonderful friend of mine:

…So a grand friend of mine asked me how my ankle was doing, I responded, yep, I’m definitely handicapped, and she said, NO. You’re handicapable!

Now, this was a HUGE pattern-interrupt to me because I’ve *always* described myself as that….but now that I’ve degraded considerably, my first reaction was to use ‘handicapped’ instead of ‘handicapable’. So grateful to folks who point out that my reality is how I *choose* to view it.

Ain’t that the truth?  :)

So stay tuned for more and more goodness from me!

Life…it’s what you choose to make of it.

And I’m going to make mine…..grand!

Grow strong,

Barbara Ling
