Morinng! Yesterday was yet another day in which I was too zonked to update my site in the evening (and not only that - I dramatically failed yet again to post at my three other blogs too!).
However, I’m not really beating myself up about that, as I did accomplish one heck of a lot of goodness….
(both workwise and more importantly, family-wise, to boot).
Lessee…where to start! Well, let’s get the business stuff out of the way first. I added new avatars to the Virtual Coach Income Fitness forum - here’s mine!

Morning all, she said at 8pm in the evening,
I’ve been a bad bad blogger! I’ve been sooo consumed by fine-tuning my Income Fitness Forums (you would NOT BELIEVE the number of changes I implemented, I’m all hacked out today!) that I neglected posting to Virtual Coach or to Affiliate Brainery or to…..and I even didn’t get a chance to update Who Hired Bob as well!
WAH!
But! The spiffy neato news is that my make money forums look really, well, incredibly magnificent beyond all mortal comprehension!
Really, they do. They really do! You see, I had just about finalized the site when Honorable Daughter 1 took a look at it and then drawled:
"Mom, that picture there…it’s SOOOOO 1990s!"
The pain, the agony, the truth. :) So! I spent an hour or so tweaking up the header to what you see now. And I’ll admit, she was 100% correct - the new layout is far superior.
Soon I’ll have to start promoting it (which reminds me, why not check it out yourself and see how it will benefit you? I pulled together a great list of goodies over HERE)….but right now, I feel I can finally take a break and (get this!) sleep.
In other news, did I mention I hacked my forums?
You know, in thinking about it….that’s really all I did today. Oh, and yes, I did take the kids out to go shopping for their Spring Musical - one must bless the gods of the Dollar Store for Hawaiian goodies!
Tomorrow I have a Moose Playdate for me two moosies and that should be enjoyable as well. Now that my forums are up, I have to tackle actually writing the specific product, Income Fitness….but that’s for another time indeed.

Is your Wordpress blog naked?

The following is something I was going to share with only my newsletter subscribers, but it’s important enough that everyone should know about it.
Did you know that by default, Wordpress will reveal all of the plugins you use (free AND paid) to anyone who looks at
http://www.YourDomainName.com/wp-content/plugins
Talk about a pain! Not only is it a security hazard…
Hackers who know of plugin vulnerabilities can scan to see how easy it is to break into your blog
But it also lets people STEAL your plugins as well (you’d be shocked how many plugin zips I’ve seen over the past 48 hours, simply by looking for unprotected plugin directories).
Luckily, the fix for this is quite simple!
Just upload a blank index.html file into your plugins directory (and themes directory as well) and all should be well.
But wait! An opportunity arises as well!
You can also display something like:
Halt! Thou Art Not Allowed Here!

You can grab that index.html page over at plugins-index.txt . Just open that file, copy and paste the contents into a blank index.html, and upload that to your wp-content/plugins directory
(note! if your blog is at /blog or /news or what have you, you’ll have to modify the final destination place).
Thus, do yourself a favor and check out if your Wordpress blog is flaunting itself to the Internet at large….if to, clothe it today! Your blog safety will thank you for it.
