I really resonated with that comments as well (ie, the ‘it’s one thing….’). That’s one reason why I’m so gung-ho at teaching folks how to care and feed for their blogs by themselves and not become dependent upon programmers to make little changes for them.

Thanks Barbara & to Jim Straw for allowing the reprint. Must sign up for his newsletter again. Seems to have got lost again! Definitely very interesting. So true about.... It is one thing to tell an employee, "this needs to be milled another one-thousandth of an inch," and quite another to say, "here, let me show you how to mill this to specifications" (and do it). I've definitely got my 'Blue Collar' hat on & taking advantage of the downturn in share prices. Best of all you don't have to have a 'lot' of money to invest. Trade school is a great idea for our kids... trouble is a lot of them don't want to be doing 'manual' work. Might change their mind when they have to start paying the bills & realise how much our tradesmen really charge for their services.
