Sad but true, eh?
This quote came to mind when Honorable Boy 1 came to me yesterday with the following opportunity:
He was able to play a new brain-challenge game online (yay!) but it required a heck of a lot more thinking than he was used to.
Thus, he got frustrated.
Very frustrated.
And his happiness transformed into sheer whininess.
Instead of looking at the situation as, WOWIE! I can test my wits and learn! he chose instead to view the short-term negatives as THE main point of the game.
Ergo – one unhappy kid. Simply because he CHOSE to give in to frustration.
Let’s now turn the topic to the most important person reading it…YOU!
Remember – we ALL own our own happiness. It’s NOT a given; we can proactively CHOOSE to view disasters as opportunities for learning.
It’s up to YOU as to the path you choose.
