This quote came to mind yesterday when I got just plain sick and tired of seeing on Twitter something along the lines of:
Never quit when things are hopeless, keep trying and you’ll succeed!
Bull-earlobes.
If I want to move the Egyptian pyramids with a pair of tweezers, one by one – I can keep trying until the cows take over Wall Street and I’ll guarantee you – I’ll NEVER EVER EVER succeed.
So instead, I modified the quote to something that makes sense to me.
Always quit what’s hopeless and focus instead on what’s probable….given YOUR strengths.
Of course, this requires you to be completely honest with yourself and know yourself quite well. And that it itself….is quite the hero’s journey indeed.
