Sometimes, our family members get sick.
- So we take them to the doctor asap!
And sometimes, our friends are hurting bigtime.
- So we make sure to be there for them when needed.
But sometimes….
We find *ourselves* the recipient of lousy health and hurt feelings….which we then…ignore.
Not good!
I was reminded of this with the force of an exploding super-nova at 2:30am this morning, when I awakened with the sensation of my right eyeball wanting to exit my skull with all of the grace and style of a drunk water buffalo power-skiing down Mt. Everest.
As you can imagine, this is not a very delightful feeling indeed.
After my eldest awakened, she saw my Facebook posting, came over, and said,
"Mom! Get that checked out *today*, okay?"
So I promised her that I'd visit my doctor today. After all, if I'm down and out for the count, it really throws a huge monkey wrench into my family's life!
Which brings me to the point of this post.
Tell yourself today that you *are* worth taking care of! If your health decreases, do *not* be an idjut and ignore it.
Get it checked out asap.
Because when it comes right down to it, if you don't look after yourself….who will?
Grow strong,
Barbara Ling
