Secrets of the Pros – Use your eBay affiliate ID instead of Google Adsense to monetize your pages

With clickthrus to Google Adsense delivering less and less profit as the days go on, I’m tempted to ask you – just why do you waste your valuable web space real estate on Google Adsense?

Everyone and their coffeecup worships Google adsense. Now, don’t get me wrong – Google Adsense in some cases can certainly be most beneficial indeed. Thing is, though, unless you have a HUGE traffic influx, day in, day out…your overall profits will be dismal indeed.

That’s why smart people use the eBay Affiliate program to monetize their sites. You see, not only do you get a commission when someone actively registers, you also get paid for leads and sales as well.

No other program gives you this ability to precisely target and monetize your site! Think about it – let’s say that you blog about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. There are tons of BJJ stuff on eBay, and you can incorporate them all via RSS feeds, the editor kit and more. Check out an example at Mama Bear’s Grappling Den blog – all the products you see on the right are delivered via eBay.

Let’s take another example. My MetaBlogging Site, AskOwlbert, is patterned after MacGyver. Visit the site now – you’ll see in the right hand corner, under Sponsors, lots of great MacGyver Tshirts and sometimes other collectibles. Again, this is all courtesy of eBay.

There are many eBay tools you can use to enhance your profits. One of my favorites is the Editor Kit. There you can present a nicely framed display of targeted niche products that mesh perfectly with your theme. And I mean ANY theme whatsoever!

Do you blog about Fantasy Football? Look at this:

Do you write instead about heavy metal? Check this out:

Maybe instead you adore keeping track of the Presidential elections:

See what I mean? And if you take the effort to write 2 or 3 times a week about how to FIND items in your niche…and include your eBay affiliate ID… you’ll probably see your income, slowly but surely, start to rise rise RISE!

And that of course, is a Very Good Thing indeed.

Remember – don’t feel like you have to follow the rest of the lumbering herd – you can blaze your own unique path and make things happen! When it comes right down to it, making money online is solely dependent upon your efforts….and your efforts only. So make them count….today.
