I taught both my daughters from the time they were little girls how to take down an attacker in a quick and effective manner and to not hesitate.

My hat’s off to this woman who didn’t think twice before putting the intruder down.

Too many people subscribe to the notion that the police are going to protect them. At best, they’re only useful after the fact, and only then if you do 90% of the work for them like provide a photo or video of the perpetrator in action.

If more people took time to learn EFFECTIVE self defense methods and use them properly, and without hesitation – there would be a lot less violent crimes; IMHO.

Hi Barbara – it is brilliant that she was able to do this. But more than 20 times with a baseball bat? Either he has a really hard head – or she didn’t try hard enough. A blow with a baseball bat would be enough to knock most folk out.
That’s seriously scary though – waking up to find an intruder in your bedroom.

Barbara, this is good practical advice for men and women. Knowing how to defend ourselves empowers us on a deeper level. Of course we hope we never have to use those skills but it is good to know that if needed we could fight back.
