Why My Website Makes You Thrilled You Visited (and how you can do it too!)

Morning!

It's been a long hard road but I'm really thrilled to announce some of the nifty enhancements I've added to me site!  It's something sooo simple and common-sense, I should have done it eons ago……

But better late than never!  :)

Take a look at me front page!

What's the first thing you notice about my menu navigation?

3 of the links focus on *You*.

  • Your Benefits
  • Your Products
  • Your Classes

This is something I have been working on now for the past few days, and let me tell you….I love it!

As do me visitors.

See, the plain fact is, we're all busy and we all have very little time to spare.

And when you visit a site…you want to know immediately just why you should honor it with *your* precious time.

That's why I'm now focusing my site design on *you*.

  • When you visit BarbaraLing.com, the ability to find out my benefits to you is staring at you in the face.

You see the 'Your Products' and wonder, "Jeepers!  How does she know my products?  Heck, what *are* my products?  Let me click and see!"

Same thing for 'Your Classes'.  "Jeepers Part II, what classes?  Do I have any classes that I don't know about?  Are they free?  Let me see!"

See how it works?

I'm actively causing my visitors to interact with my site.

Thus, people are thrilled they have visited my site because (and I hope you're sitting down for this):

The WIIFM aspect (what's in it for me?) is spelled out in plain sight.

Is that cool or what?

Now, let's turn the topic of this post to the most important person around….you!

How can *you* make visitors thrilled they visited *your* site?

Here's some ideas!

NOTE!
Idea #1.)  Make the benefits *shine* from your site.

What you have to offer is magnificent beyond belief, right?

So make that aspect *obvious*.

Let's say that you're in the fitness and/or dieting niche.

Above the fold on your site, is there a link that will show readers all the benefits they'll get if they only give you a chance to serve them?

Does your newsletter optin give away a valuable fitness/dieting goodie?

etc.etc.etc.

NOTE!
Idea #2.)  Make your visitors *smile*.

When you make people feel good, they remember it (sometimes more than when you make them money).  So see what kinds of ways you can make your site fun to visit!

Besides hard cold making money ideas, I also offer some pretty amusing humor goodies too!  There's my Ling Marketing Rules (demotivational posters), satirical comics from MyPixelPie and more….you can access them here.  And also enjoy the sample below!

NOTE!
Idea #3.) Make your visitors feel *uplifted*

Think about it.

When you visit a site you can really and truly *use* for your benefits, don't you feel good?

Same thing goes with your visitors.

Guaranteed, when people visit BarbaraLing.com, they don't feel sold to whatsoever…instead, they recognize I'm in it for the long haul and am an ethical resource they can *trust*.

*Trust*….it's key.

Do your visitors feel they can trust you?

If so, you're already in the home stretch.

If not….change that.  Today.

* * * * *

Whew, what a ride, aye?

The above is what I've learned from the school of hard knocks…and I'm positive it will benefit you too!

Go now and ask your colleagues and friends and family to take a look at your site.  Ask for honest appraisals – what part of it made them feel good?  What part of it made them run screaming to the hills?

Learn from their comments, and tweak appropriately.

Your 2012 income will thank you for it!

Grow strong,

Barbara Ling
