"Never have regrets in your life….you’re worth far more than that!"
– Barbara Ling
I thought of this quote yesterday while I was dealing with my concrete parachute. I was remembering the past 2 years when I was able to run up a hill. Prior to that (back when I was 50+ pounds heavier), I was completely incapable of doing such a thing.
Well, there I was, running happily up hills, down hills and the like. And my folks cautioned me, Barbara, remember, with your ankles, running probably ISN’T a good thing at all.
Turns out…they were right.
BUT! Here’s the unique thing – I don’t regret that time whatsoever.
Sure, I probably hastened my ultimate ankle-destruction.
But the memories I have of overcoming my own preconceived limitations…wow, those are priceless indeed.
So…I take complete and total ownership of my actions…and I also have a far better inner understanding of what I can accomplish today.
No regrets! 🙂
Enjoy,
Barbara Ling
