Today’s Thought to Share – The right to be heard does NOT

Morning all! 

Today’s thought to share involves common sense.  And it’s this:

The right to be heard does NOT automatically include the right to be taken seriously.

This quote by Hubert Humphrey appeared in my inbox today courtesy of Nicky510’s Daily Dose.  I’ll be blogging more about this concept later on today (especially as I describe my family’s environment as a benevolent dictatorship, and I’m the benevolent dictator…in other words, yes children, I do hear your opinions but trust me, banning homework will NOT happen this century), but for now, I’d like to ask you to ponder on what the above really does mean.

• What does it mean in your business interactions?
• What does it mean at the gym?
• What does it mean when you’re being suffocated at the inanities often present at your local PTA political meetings?
