Today’s Thought To Share – Lego World Record

Today’s thought to share is the following:

About a month ago, the record for the tallest Lego tower was broken over at the Legoland YK site – a tower resembling a Viking longboat managed to hit the 100 foot mark via the joyful implementation of over 500,000 Lego bricks.

But!  Apparently that’s NOT the largest Lego creation!  That honor goes to the Sitting Bull sculpture in Billund -

Over 1,200,000 MILLION bricks contribute towards its grandeur.

I was reminded of this when I read the updates on Comic Con and saw:

Lego Robin

Now I have to admit, that looks pretty neat.  :)

Enjoy,

Barbara Ling

ps – speaking about Legos, are these in your future?

Barbara – that Robin is brilliant.  It’s interesting that Lego has stayed popular for so many years.  It must be great to have a product like that.

Legos are ‘way cool! ‘course, my kids much prefer scattering them on the floor just where I am likely to step, so we have only one area in the house where they’re welcome (legos, that is…not the kids. :) ). Barbara

If I could convince my wife that Legos will contribute to my congeniality, then maybe I could get several sets into the house! LOL!  Legos are brilliant CREATIVE tools that double as toys. More power to ‘em.

My son’s amazing Lego collection grew over the years and we enjoyed many hours of creativity.  Although he doesn’t play with it any more his masterpieces sit in pride of place in our sunroom.
