On TV the other night I saw one car owner who was profiting by hiring out his car during the week which would otherwise be sitting around.  In his case this was a regular arrangement with the same person & had him covered on his insurance....but others are also taking up offers.  And it works out cheaper than hiring a car.  In the current economic times it has become a necessity to look at ways to be more resourceful in making our finances stretch further.
