Morning!
I’ll confess – I HATE spending extra money for marketing deluxes like Fudgey the Whale ice cream cakes. So….yesterday, I picked up all the ingredients for such a magnificent creation and turned Honorable Daughter 2 loose on the project!
You see, it will be Honorable Son 1′s birthday! So my extremely creative daughter took:
- Chocolate ice cream
- Chocolate frosting
- Chocolate chips
- Chocolate Magic Shell
and crafted up something that looks utterly, ahem, unique….but wow, Honorable Boy 1 can’t wait! 
In other exciting Ling family news, I took my kids shark teeth hunting again and we found some rather nifty fossils (along with ANOTHER fossil snail, yay!). I wrote a bit about that over at

Kids had a blast.
