So. Agree? Disagree?
I think it has to deal with creating a competitor to the WF.
This would be an extremely wise move. The actions the new owners of the WF have taken – it shows an apparent move towards a corporate mentality (understandable, it’s now owned by the corporation Freelancer.com ).
Jvzoo/W+/DG marketers like us – we’re NOT corporate.
That’s why we’re successful as marketers, we do things somewhat unorthodox for corporate communities. (As I explained to Honorable Husband, it’s like AT&T upper management trying to force their ideas on geek Bell Labs culture).
Now, Freelancer.com has 10 million users and (at least when I last checked) NO forum community.
So it makes perfect business sense for them to slowly but surely move the WF infrastructure to something that supports THEIR business:
So what if that displaces the currently WF community? That might not be within the scope of the current Freelancer.com business goals.
That’s life.
So this is a perfect opportunity for W+/JVzoo/Dealguardian etc. to create the NEW IM marketing community.
Should be interesting to see what happens!
Grow strong,
