Ah. I’ve finally (yes, finally!) just about (love that qualifier!) managed to get all of my prime work/sites up and configured the way I want. Here’s my plans:
- Owlbert.com – this will be the site for all things Owlbert -cartoon, cafepress, etc. Owlbert is my cartoon alterego.
- Virtual-coach.com – this is my site for all Owlbert postings (ie, how-tos, gadgets, etc.)
- AskOwlbert – my site for blogging questions. This is where I will do the majority of my business/blogging postings.
- Barbaraling.com – where you currently are – this is where I’ll blog about daily insights (and Camp Ling!).
- BigHugeMinds.com – this was a diet/fitness board, but with my new insights, I’ve tweaked it to be a blogcasting board.
- FabFitMom Journal – I’m retiring that; all personal posts will now be on Barbara Ling.com
At BarbaraLing.com, I’ll also include a feed of posts from my other sites. Thus, in a graphical sense, BarbaraLing.com is the main launchpad to find all my other goodies.
Today has been relatively profitable. I blogged about:
- Having no expectations
- Pushups of Profoundly Painful Profit
- Break Google Services – new IE8 Task Team
The first post came about from mulling over giving with an open heart and not having expectations from your audience, the second was inspired from watching pushups at karate yesterday, and the third just amused me. 🙂
AND! It looks like (it really does!) that finally, I am able to take it vaguely easy…and reclaim my ME time. Not certain, of course (I thought this last Friday and ended up with 4 more 18 hour days), but I’m really internalizing the importance of Me-time. Not, Barbara the Super Mom or Barbara the Wonder Wife or Barbara the Exciting Entrepreneur, but instead merely, Barbara the Me. Barbara who really needs to take care of her own needs as well.
The dojo I currently attend and adore doesn’t have adult classes during the morning/afternoon (wah!). That’s the most optimal time for me. I am trying now to take a nap during the afternoon so I can stay up later – we’ll see how that works. I’d love to find a Brazilian Juijitsu class close by!
And that’s what’s going on on this exciting Thursday, March 6th.
Enjoy,
Barbara
ps – want cool Juijitsu stuff?
