This quote came barreling down on me when I was gently educating Honorable Boy 1 regarding the mysteries of Time Management (read: getting his homework done BEFORE playing on the computer).
You could see the complete and utter rejection of my wisdom pass thru his adorably stubborn mind and shoot out the furthest ear, waving maddenly at me as it zoomed by.
Just because Mom has 4 decades of life experiences behind her…why on earth should her son LISTEN? After all, he knows best!
Luckily, the fact I’m acknowledged as the All Powerful Mother did hold a heck of a lot more weight…and he grumbled himself to finish his work.
But afterwards!
Because he focused on completing the assignment, he was done within 10 minutes! And later on he told me, you know Mom, you were right!
Jeepers…ya think? 🙂
