Morning!

Ah, yesterday was most relaxing indeed - after pulling 19 hours the day before, I actually had a vaguely restful time. Did some good site building and blog posting, and am charging through my action items for 2008.

While I’m still somewhat resistant to the idea, I am considering doing World of Warcraft as part of Camp Ling this summer. Two summer ago, I crafted an entire summer-based project around Runescape, last summer it was Naruto….this summer looks like it will be WoW. From what I’ve heard/researched, there’s tons of strategy/quests/money management/etc. to be done with it, so it should be relatively quite useful. Thus, so far Camp Ling consists of:

  • World of Warcraft
  • Mental Math
  • Karate
  • Brazilian Juijitsu (okay, that’s for mom only)
  • Mastering making YouTube humor videos
  • Science

Last year, I got the kids a Japanese playstation for Japanese Naruto. That taught me the lesson that unless your kid is a hardcore gamer (mine aren’t), it will be faddized for a month or two and then never touched again. Oh well. Live and learn.

Regarding iPhones, I’m considering getting such a beastie. Much research I need to do.

And about Trig, my kid is learning that…..I found the Trig Study Guide and will be having kid master that. Give me Operations Research any time. :)

Time to start the day,

Barbara
