It’s Monday!
Actually, gnope – it’s still Sunday around 8:30pm and….
Sunday was… unexpected.
As I had mentioned yesterday, the Kingly Moose crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
I expected to wake up the next morning feeling miserable but….
Well, here’s how I described it in the Kingly Moose’s group.
Here’s what I posted in the Kingly Mooses’ group
“…I just realized something *hugely* important about our group and will post it when ready.
This morning, I woke up expecting to feel all sad BUT….
It’s like the Kingly Moose is still here, just on a different plane of existence.
Seriously it’s the weirdest feeling ever. Every single room that I visit where he used to reside… it’s a feeling of comfort.
Not loss.
The Court Jester Moose, never known for his acute brilliance, is acting like everything is the same. So I’m wondering if he feels the Kingly Mooses’ spirit as well.
NOTE to those science-minded – I agree that scientifically speaking, yep, it might just be me feeling comfort in his memories.
I don’t care. I like thinking he’s still with us, just on a different plane.
Long live the Spirit of the Kingly Moose! …”

And….. Where was I?
Ah yes!
It’s Sunday!
Actually, gnope – it’s still Saturday around 6:00pm and….
Saturday was very hard. 🙁 .
In the weee hours of the morning, the Kingly Moose barked inside the house.
So I went to him – he had pooped on himself and was a mess. And his backlegs just totally stopped working. 🙁
So I awakened my youngest and told him the scenario. After a long silence, he told me that it was probably the right thing to do, to let the Kingly Moose (a very Old Moose) be put to sleep.
We both went there….
… and sat with him until he crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
It was done very pain-free – the horrible panting he was doing during the entire night/morning eased, his breathing deepened, he fell asleep….
… and then it was over.
So to be quite honest, I haven’t really done much of anything today.
The Court Jester Moose, derpy that he is, doesn’t seem to have made any connection (for which I am glad).
He’s also a very old moose as well.
Marketing wise (because life continues no matter what)…
