Where was I? Ah yes, Monday!
OMG.
I’m writing this to you at 3:07am because my arm decided to fall off yet again.
SO painful.
Can’t sleep.
So I figure I’ll get all my morning work done now… and then try to sleep once more.
Hate it!
I will admit, though, yesterday was great besides this…
Husband and I took the boys out:
Yummy dimsum!
The Beak of Doom went on patrol:
This was during the evening rest.
And! I came across a picture of me back when I could hike:
I had hiked up to the top of Chimney Rock Mountain, all those years ago.
Nice!
I also wrote:

Ever watch other people in our industry and think to yourself, there’s no way I’ll ever achieve those levels of skill?
Or see folks faking it until everyone thinks they’re making it… and buying into those whole smoke screens and allowing them to cloud your confidence in yourself?
Or seeing big huge bunches of sour grapes because a particular product is flying off the shelves… but because it’s not marketed in the way someone else would desire, negatives get slung left, right, sideways and all that jazz?
Hmmmm?
It can be most discouraging until you remember this one key point.
Not only does everyone blossom in their own time….
… but you’ll also find some skills are simply out of your desire to master, while others make you shine beyond belief.
For example, some people can easily earn 6 figures a year via cold calling and talking (gasp!) on the phone.
I would end up living on the streets if I based my income on that. No matter how much I might read about it or teach it (yep, I used to teach how to cold call), I simply cannot do it *myself*.
And perhaps… some of the people who are living “the Internet lifestyle” that you’re envying….
Well, they might have mastered skills that simply leave you cold.
And that is quite okay indeed.
Because there are dozens of ways you can support your family online…
… you aren’t limited to just one.
I was reminded of this during our family lunch outing.
Both HS1 and HS2 are brilliant kids, and both shine in their own particular ways.
Each of them have their own unique talents as well that the other couldn’t do, half as well.
As does HD1 and HD2.
And if needed, together they could enhance each others skills.
But the cool thing is, there’s zero sibling rivalry…
… and zero envy….
… instead, there’s lots of support!
(That has to be one of my biggest achievements in parenting, btw… I refused to allow any sibling rivalry to take hold. But I digress).
Your takeaway?
Rejoice for other people’s successes!
Don’t define your abilities by their achievements.
Instead, uncover what works best for *you* and *you* alone….
… and then give yourself permission to carve out your space online and allow yourself to shine.

I utterly *adored* it. I really did!

‘sides that in Lingland, it’s really weird. Had a very good arm day but woke up this morning *again* with chronic pain. 🙁
I just don’t get it. 🙁
Still, though, all in all… a very good day indeed, even if today, I’m not doing well at all.
