What a year. :-/

And yesterday, well….
First off, husband is healing well. Yay! Lots of pain but today is day 2 aftermath…. and he seems to have the pain under control.
And before I did PT, I did get to swimming (and made an Instagram from it):
The caption was, Choose Wisely.
And then there was Physical Therapy:
The Caped Avenger!
I so wish my arm would act nicer. Probably will end up getting an epidural/nerve block next month if this doesn’t work.
But hey, I’m still above ground!
And also yesterday, I figured I should help the husband heal, so went hunting and gathering at my local Shoprite:
That turned into:
And the recipe?
“So! Words to the wise – rice soaks up quite a lot of water.
That kinda sorta makes your soup… disappear!
End result:
Took 4 ladle-fulls of the mixture, added more water and seasonings, brought that to a boil, cracked in 2 eggs, mixed all that up and fed the husband.
I will admit – the end result was beyond magnificent. The dill adds that ‘homeMade’ flavor while the eggs added a smoother consistency that blended well with the rice.
And as far as the recipe goes:
Go to Shoprite.
Pick up anything chicken-related that is ideally on sale.
Scoff at the fact the only dill available is organic and weep while you spend the extra dollar.
Pick up any veggies that appeal to you.
Return home.
Pet mooses.
Boil up chicken, let it simmer 1.5 hours or so. Take out chicken, remove as much meat as possible, return that to soup pot. Add in mushroom soup mix/soy sauce. Add in veggies. See if diners can use chopsticks. If so, add in noodles. If not, add in rice.
Remember that you need to send out an email. Do that. Return to find rice is eating up all your chicken and veggies. Chortle evilly as you combat the rice with bunches of Fresh Organic Super Expensive Dill!
Crack in some eggs, mix it all up, pour into bowls, put diced scallions on top, and enjoy.”

Ah yes, Wednesday!
First, Shana Tova to all of my readers who celebrate Rosh Hashanah! May the next year bring you goodness upon goodness.
And in my neck of the woods….
Yesterday I got to see my husband’s wart removed…..
And it was SO cool.
SO amazingly cool – the surgeon is simply an artist. I would have paid just to watch him. No wasted movement, no hurriedness, just calm, cool, in the zone…. wow.
And some skin from his hand removed as a graft… *wow*. Watching THAT happen was nail-biting.
An hour later, he was all bandaged up and I took him for pizza:
I’d share images of the surgery but its ‘way graphic so gnope.
Got him home then decided to be proactive about a spinal cervical surgeon. Thing is, I really don’t want surgery on my spine done whatsoever. Today will be my 5th PT treatment – I have 7 more to go, so perhaps that will help. Anywhos, I visited my pain doc for recommendations and decided to keep the faith. At home, however, this happened:
After awhile it died down so yay.
My life, gosh, so exciting!
And I wrote this:
“Always remember there are two viewpoints regarding how things happen. Yours and everyone elses. And because you and everyone else are just human, its possible to say things you later on regret.
The important thing is if you’re big enough to admit it and apologize.
Carrying grudges is a weight lifting activity nobody needs.
Carry on.”

Remember how yesterday I had said my youngest hadn’t called?
Got a call that woke me up last night at 8:30pm or so.
Turns out he tripped and laptop go smoosh and asked to talk to Dad (who can fix anything and everything and probably has about several laptops downstairs in various states of repair).
I said no, Dad is currently flying without wings (pain meds)
Which of course he took literally. 🙂
During times of awakeness, Dad is working on a laptop but we’ll probably fedex it over instead of driving the 80 miles (yesterday was truly grueling and I’m taking care of the husband today).
