Closed out yesterday with much gratitude. Remember…. life can change in an instant… I’m so grateful the people in question were able to wake up to enjoy another day.

Don’t forget yesterdays:

Where was I? Ah yes, Monday!

Given what could have happened, the day was …. as restful as possible.

As you read yesterday, my eldest’s car was totaled (with the kid in it). However, kid was able to walk away so yay!

But doesn’t that highlight how fleeting life can really be?

So I wrote the following:

Life is short.

Death is forever.

I came very close to losing someone I love beyond time and space yesterday….

… and it puts life in a HUGE amount of perspective.

Never let your ego stop you from expressing your love for your family and friends.

Always be willing to tell those you love … you love them!

Because you never know if they’ll be in a horrific accident tomorrow.

Much gratitude the person in question has a second chance.”

But I didn’t stop there.

I spent an hour or so reaching out to all my friends to express how much I value them.

Because, you know…

Life can stop at any minute.

And I would have lost my opportunity to tell people that if anything happened.

I *highly* encourage you to do the same!

‘Tis only a few sentences but the goodwill it shares, and the happiness it generates…

GOLD.

In other Lingland news, school is NOT delayed today so hopefully it will be a nice normal day.

Hah. Normal. And me. Hah. 🙂

Don’t forget yesterdays:

Where was I? Ah yes, Sunday!

The day started out so good!

First off, it began snowing around… 8am? here in NJ.

And the husband and I went for breakfast.

My breakfast was the food of angels:

And afterwards, here’s what the driving looked like (you can’t tell but yep – its snowing).

Snow!

Would we get to the gym?

Of course we would!

Gym!

So it was all yay there.

Well. In the evening, my eldest was up in MA… and rather unwisely chose to drive home during the snow.

The car went off the highway into a ravine.

Amazingly, my eldest was totally uninjured.

But OMG….. you could probably imagine my reaction.

My eldest finally got home at 3am.

And today I’ll find out just what happened… (the car is absolutely totaled).

Your takeaway?

Let your loved ones know every day how precious they are… because life happens in an instant.

It’s probably going to hit me today, the delayed reaction.

Also, don’t drive during snowstorms.
