Ever wake up one morning and think to yourself:
“Alrighty! That’s IT!”
It could be the culmination of several days/weeks/months/years or what have you of continuously striving uphill for a variety of reasons:
* Business evolution
* Mending fences
* Burning down the ships
and all that jazz.
No matter what, the one thing that almost always results is an extreme amount of …. *energy*.
Now, true, that energy might be negative and self-destructive and sorts of baddie-like stuff….
But did you know such fury could be transformed into profits down the road?
Here’s how.
First, you need to internalize that alas, the Universe STILL doesn’t give a darn about you or your problems.
The only person who will rescue you from your situation… is you!
Next, let’s tackle the cause of your fury.
Would you believe, it’s *you*?
You *firmly* own any reaction you might have to anything you might experience.
So if you’re currently furious at something, sure, there might have been a catalyst that finally lit the match on your bone-dry mile-high pile of kindling…
But that fury belongs *solely* to you.
You can clutch it to your chest and let it consume you into ash, OR….
You can redirect said fury into something that can benefit your family down the road.
For example, if you’re a product creator, whip out a quick PDF report (or even a 1 page PDF cheatsheet!), add in some done-for-you businesses in boxes as upsells…
And boom.
You earn money.
You build your list.
Most importantly, however:
Instead of allowing the fury to burn you up on the inside, reshape that pure energy into pure *action.*
Anger, hurt, pain, rejection, fury, disappointment, agony, etc…
You can either toss it in the direction of a bionic mushroom (aka www.macmillandictionary.com/us/buzzword/entries/bionic-mushroom.html ) or lacking those….
Just apply it to something that will benefit *you* and people *you* love.

Life is too annoying in other ways to give rent-free space in one’s mind to those who are undeserving.
Heck, yesterday I blocked a few folk on FB myself.
I did not appreciate their interpretations of my actions….
… and decided that they simply do NOT *deserve* to see what I have to offer online.
Very simple.
Today will be more gym ideally and more writing. Woot!

It could occur when you’re earlobe-deep into saving the world, one Infinity Gauntlet at a time…

It could ONLY happen to you if you’re on a magical mystery tour of battling the GDN (coming to an IMAX 3D theater close by you!).
Now, the GDN, as you probably remember from your childhood faerie tales, is a magical, mystical place known to the rest of us mortals as the Google Display Network. To wit:
“…it’s a group of more than 2 million websites, videos, and apps where your ads can appear.
Display Network sites reach over 90% of Internet users worldwide*. With the Display Network, you can use targeting to show your ads in particular contexts (like “outdoor lifestyles” or “cnn.com”), to particular audiences (like “young moms” or “people shopping for a new sedan”), in particular locations, and more.”
Seeing your ads dominate said 90% of Internet users world-wide would certainly be a Legend for this generation, wouldn’t you agree? Thing is, though…
Are the CTRs you’re seeing…. REALLY the tried and true honest case?
Chances are… probably not.
Why?
Why, because of those meddling kids, of course! In other words, this article:

claims that 60% of parents use their phones and tablets to occupy their kids while they handle errands, housework, and other tasks. So while the moms and dads might be your perfect target audience, your impressions may be going to babies and toddlers. Same goes for clicks.
Delightful, aye? Heck no! If its kids going clickity click click click on your addity ad ad ads… you’re basically soaking your hard-earned dollars into gallons of week old decaf coffee and watching them swirl down the deep, dank drain of despair.
And kudos to whomever did write that article – I especially like the following snark:
“…Google’s ability to analyze a page and determine its theme is pretty impressive, but it doesn’t always get it right. In fact, sometimes it gets downright awkward by matching certain ads and certain content. Don’t be forever cemented in the internet hall of shame as the company that ran an alcohol ad next to an article about drunk drivers.
Unless you’re not my client.
I always love a good ad placement fail.”
Reminds me of several individuals in the Internet marketing industry.
But I digress.

It’s Monday.
Yesterday was extremely… pensive.
Here’s what I wrote:
“Life changed in an instant for my husband, who learned that a friend (whom we both saw when we were in Los Angeles), died in a freak accident. Totally unexpected (as freak accidents often are).
Life changed in an instant for me, as I internalized the above. It really brought home just how truly unimportant arguments online (or even in real life) can be.
So much rent-free space is given away to people who simply do not deserve it, you know? You see it in flame wars online, or chats that spin off the rails, or ….
… or anything just plain… toxic.
Toxic ==> hugely bad.
Remember:
We only have one chance at this particular life of ours.
How we choose to spend it… well, given the fact a low-flying asteroid could take you out, your loved ones out, you could be caught in a shooting, etc…
Do not let *anyone* take you for granted
Do not give anyone who is not worthy of you, rent-free space in your head.
Do not give into a desire to mock or ridicule someone online because their beliefs are different than yours.
FB and social media in general reveals only a highlight reel, you know? And chances are, because you have zero clues as to what’s *really* going on in the lives of those you interact with…. you really do NOT know how your words will affect them.
Everyone is fighting their own personal battles.
Don’t add to it by disrespecting others.
Today, I realized that in the past, I’ve let conversations go on my wall that ended up unintentionally hurting others. And that sucks. I apologize that I permitted such conversations to continue and will not let that happen again in the future.
Your takeaway?
Direct all excess energies towards something that results in a *positive* outcome.
It could be making more buy buttons live.
It could be reaching out to those who are in pain.
It could be standing up for others who being bullied online/offline/anyline.
Whatever it is… do not allow those who are unworthy of you to drain you of positive goodness.
The world needs more understanding… not more division.
Carry on.”
And… I had planned on going to see the movie Godzilla. Thing is, yesterday’s pensiveness started at around 8am… and my wonderful husband basically advised, since you’ve been up since 4am, first take a nap and rest/refresh.
That rest/refresh ended up so good.. I just stayed home on bedrest and worked on my laptop.
I’ll tell you – yesterday was just plain exhausting. I so do NOT need another day like that…
EVER again.
So ideally, to hell with any sorts of intense disagreements online.
FB and Social Media is SO incredible petty…
It can end up being just plain toxic for you.
And you deserve better than that!!
