’twas a rather good day – all above ground (all together – yay!)
But I noticed a trend for folks being unhappy (unintentionally), and wrote:

You know… holidays can bring out the best in folks and also quite the worst, right?
But here’s the thingee:

Over the past few days, I’ve seen more and more unhappy posts by my friends and colleagues and you know something?
It’s *okay* to honor the pain and grief you’re feeling.
Heck, you can simply wallow in self-pity, drown yourself in your favorite beverage to reflect (coffee works great for this, just sayin’) upon how unfair the world is to you and how utterly miserable your life is and how you simply wish you didn’t have to wake up the next day….
Ever feel like that?
If so, ideally reach out to your friends for commiseration and other thingees because in virtually 143.94% of the time…
Those feelings are *intensified* by your pain, sadness, too much hormones, not enough hormones, not the *right* hormones, etc.etc.etc.
(Btw, this post was inspired by my medical diagnosis yesterday; I basically vanished for most of yesterday/today to work thru it all)
But I digress.

Where was I?
Ah yes Part 2!
Honor your grief and then…
… and then ideally *let it go*.
Which is painfully tough, I realize.
But what if you’re NOT the person with the issues?
What if you actually see someone hurting?
You know what you do?
You *reach out*. (gasp gasp gasp)
In the vast majority of cases, don’t dwell on:
* Maybe I’m overstepping my boundaries!
* Who am I to this person, they probably have other people more important than me!
* It’s embarrassing to ask if someone is hurting!
* I need to mind my own business!
To that, I have to say… Moose ByProducts!!!
Virtually in all cases, the worst thing that can happen is the person will respond, leave me alone.
But I would lay my last coffeecup on the odds that the person you are asking would grateful that you cared enough to do something about their pain that you saw.
I vividly remember *really* needing someone to reach out years and years and decades and centuries ago… and that person was totally oblivious. It was one of the most soul-crushingly horrible feelings… and wow, did it *ever* teach me to *never* treat those you care about, so blindingly callous-like.
Ah well, live and learn.
Moving on!

Write them a story.Just do *something*…. that could mean the difference between sorry and happiness, life and death.

Actually, no, its still Monday at around 7pm – have to pick up Kid3 from work at 11pm so I figured I’d get the morning newsletter *done*.
Hell of a day yesterday – discovered that I have adult scoliosis.
Really messed up my day, it did.
I did get to the gym, mind you, and physical therapy…
And after that, I just kinda sort hid in my house.
Did my required work but yep…
That diagnosis came out of left field indeed.
However, I’m still above ground, so yay!

but before I explain why, let me tell you about the adventures I had with my husband yesterday at the Verizon store.
We were updating our phone plans, and I was told about an exciting! new! promo! that would lower my phone bill by $10 a month!
All I had to do was agree to let Verizon put their version of Onstar in my car!
So, being a marketer, I asked what the benefits?
If I’m in an accident ! I could have roadside assistance!
(which I already have with TripleA).
Then I asked, okay, can I turn the device OFF?
Well gee, gnope, no can do that, but why would I want to? If I was in an accident it could relay information to the police!
Which is grand, mind you… but the day I give away my car privacy (I even turn off Locations on my phone unless there’s a critical need for it) is the day that (hopefully!) will never arrive.
I have no problems with the police knowing what I’m doing/driving/etc.
I have a HUGE problem with corporations learning *everything* about my driving habits, however.
Needless to say, I turned down this magnificent offer.

discusses the idea that losing privacy… might not be a bad thing at all.
And honestly… given how many people ALREADY are inviting Amazon and Google into their homes via their smart devices…. perhaps I’m just being too much of a worrier myself….

It’s Monday!
CyberMonday, to be precise.
Earlier (like on Friday or so) I had an idea of making a Black Friday sale.
Due to nonoptimalness, it didn’t work out.
But yesterday, I did get the CyberMonday sale up!
And I wrote:

So! Back a few days ago (Wednesday?) I had a grand idea to pull together a Black Friday offer (yes, I know, I normally do them EVERY year, but this year was kinda smooshing for me) for a DennisAndBarb launch.
The *intent* was there. However, while intent is nifty coolios and all that sorta stuff… it’s the final *action* that actually makes a difference in your business, people’s lives, etc.etc.etc.
This week saw Kid4 back home (yay!), me going more smoosh than normal (insane nonoptimal hours, not yay!), lots of stuff (definitely not yay) – I missed both physical therapy sessions.
Anywhos! During the past couple of days, I pulled together bits and pieces and stuff etc… and last night figured, Black Friday is already over, it’s CyberMonday tomorrow, what the hell am I waiting for?
To heck with *intentions* – I wanted to *get things done*.
So last night, I basically finalized everything, did buy buttons check, product packaging, etc.etc.etc….
And turned it on live today at 12pm (mainly because I was out of the house by 7am and wanted to home when it went live, in case of unforseen complications).
As you might guess as well – zero affiliate notice as well.
But!
*I got it done*.
It was no longer just good intentions, it’s now something that is producing sales, making customers happy, and delivering sales to affiliates as well.
Your takeaway?
Money definitely LOVES speed, I will give you that.
But barring no speed… money also LOVES it when you turn intentions into *actions* that let said money flow in your general direction.
Never beat yourself up if you’re slower than everyone else.
Never give up if you see other people get out THEIR buy buttons before yours (have you SEEN the Black Friday goodies other marketers have already released? They’re grand!! And if I only focused on THAT fact of life…. well, I wouldn’t have this launch finally live.)
In closing, life happens. Modify your actions so you can do what you can, when you can, at the rate you can.
Because that’s all that matters.
