For example, they might invest in diet plans, not because they enjoy eating an unusual diet or even because they want to lose weight...but because they want to be attractive to the appropriate sex. They want to feel desirable.

See what I mean? If you sell diet plans based upon the theme, be healthy...it might be true, but might not strike that emotional chord within your reader. Put your product as a solution to a fervently felt desire, however...and you mihgt see your sales take a turn up to the sky.
