Placement 2000 at http://www.pl2000.com
=================================
Think
for a moment on your recruiting or corporate website...your carefully-crafted
job postings... your superbly produced resource center...that sorta thing.
It probably looks great on your browser, right?
Stop
right there! Are you aware that there is software that advertisers can
utilize that will automatically hyperlink keywords on your page, and redirect
visitors away from them? Yes, I'm talking *your* page is *actually modified*
in the browser of your visitor. So just think....perhaps an advertiser
has bought the keyword 'jobs'. Every time your page displays that word,
it could be automatically hyperlinked to that advertiser itself.
Sounds
scary? You bet! And it's a very real problem. But do not despair - there
are fixes for it you can implement right now.... and here's how. It's called
Ezula, Top Text and other thingees. These are rather insidious programs
that implements 'contextual advertising'. What this does is hyperlink keywords
in your own webpages that you've designed (yes - your own!) to whatever
paying advertisers request. Again, if you have the word 'job' or 'marketing'
or other popular keywords present in your page, if a visitor has ezula
installed on his or her browser, that visitor will be drawn away from your
site by clicking on the keyword. Descriptions and examples can be found
at
I
don't know about you, but having my own visitors hijacked after I did all
the work in inviting them to my site is not a Good thing.
But
there's hope! You can implement a disabler from http://www.thiefware.com/disabler/css.disable.shtml
, and learn about more thief-ware resources at http://www.thiefware.com/
.
You
worked darned hard in showcasing your skills and qualities online...take
every step possible to ensure it pays off.
ThankYouVeryMuch!
