Great techniques to get rid of spam

======================

=====================

Good morning,

Ah, the joys of waking up to 105 email messages about diet weight loss, making $5,392 from just a $19.97 investment, increasing the size of various swinging appendenges, etc. Ever get an insane desire to lessen the junk to a dramatic extent?

While completely getting rid of spam is just about impossible, there are several techniques you can implement to decrease it admirable. And here's how you do it.

First off, when receiving the fly-by-night spams (ie, faked addresses), never ever ever use the 'click here to remove yourself' option. Why? Because you've just validated your address! Almost certainly, it will now be sold as an active address to thousands more spammers.

There are some reputable firms, however, that honor remove requests (I've seen some recruiter advertisers who do this quite well). Thus, always use your judgement in industry-related cases.

Wouldn't it be great to bounce spams back to the originator? You can! A rather neat free tool you can use is called Mailwasher at http://www.mailwasher.net . You can scan your incoming messages before downloading them and automatically delete and bounce the spams ahead of time. I use it quite regularly and find it fantastic.

Another resource you can take advantage of is Spamcop at http://www.spamcop.net . Here, you can forward all spams - the ISP of the person who sent them is then notified. Again, use common sense with this resource - it's all too easy to report a non-spam *as* spam by mistake (and that could cause great grief to your fellow colleagues).

One final note. If you're open to learning about compelling copy techniques, sometimes actually reading spam that arrives in your inbox can be quite educational. Getting people intrigued enough to click is a great marketing skill.

ThankYouVeryMuch!
