Did you know the following facts about Batteries?

Polarity - In electricity, the condition of being positive or negative.

Fuse - Device used for cutting off an electrical current in the event of an abusive condition.

Voltage Delay - Time delay for a battery to deliver the required operating voltage after it is placed under load.

Protection index (IP) - Index indicating the capacity of an electrical device to resist environment conditions. It is made up of three digits (e.g. IP 205), each corresponding to a type of environmental risk. The higher the number, the greater the capacity to resist. First digit (0 to 6) - capacity to resist penetration by solid objects. Second digit (0 to 7) - capacity to resist penetration by liquids. Third digit (0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9) - mechanical strength.

Cathode - The electrode in an electrochemical cell where reduction takes place. During discharge, the positive electrode of the cell is the cathode. During charge in a rechargeable battery, the negative electrode is the cathode.

Electrical Line Noise - Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) are unwanted electrical signals that produce undesirable effects in sensitive electronic equipment.

Specific Energy - The ratio of the energy output of a cell or battery to its weight (Wh/kg). This term is used interchangeably with gravimetric energy density.
