You know, it just never fails, never ever ever.
I get an insane desire to commemorate my extreme character-building that I endured over the weekend, dash up a magnificent poster for our front door so my kids and I will never forget the lessons learned….and whomp, during the course of the day I have to teach myself 3 new photoshop techniques, manipulate pictures for my kids’ blogs and the like.

The joys of parenting! It’s never ending…and every moment really is a teaching moment, indeed.
Today’s Camp Ling worked out all perfectly peachified! We walked to our neighborhood movie theater to catch Wall-E (2+ mile walk in which my scientific water bottle experiment worked beyond our expectations), my kids started their new blogs on their favorite animes, and I even got an opportunity to teach my clone (ie, younger daughter) why crying can be a really damaging choice of behaviors…. Sunday Morning Finger Smooshies and Other Glorious Facets of Reality
You know you’ve had a great workout the day before when you wake up in the morning and realize:
Golly! My left pinky finger is on sausage duty!
It’s actually not that bad - there’s only a 1/3" lateral swelling across the entire first joint. It looks kinda sorta like my finger has a cute little string balloon perched on to of it that’s begging to be twisted into a balloon dog.

It’s the weekend! Yay! And how did the past week treat you?
I confess, my week was utterly superly Magnificent and quite spiffy to boot! Ever since I did my site redesign, my newsletter signups have increased, my feed subscribers have shot upwards, my ebook is selling peachy, and overall, things couldn’t be better.
Well, okay, that’s a weeee bit of a lie, because my family’s health could use a bit of boosting, I’ll admit. Prior to school ending, my eldest came down with false mono (false, as it wasn’t mono, but wow, did she have all the symptoms!)…and apparently was kind enough to wait a few days before passing on the joy. Wheeee!
