Owlishly suffering FOR your art

Here's looking at you!Morning!

Today’s post will be brief and pithy indeed, as I’ll be consumed by finishing up my free career/job seeker’s library that I’ll soon be releasing!

Long long days….hardly any sleep….’tis suffering for one’s art, I tell you!

And speaking of such, take a gander at the image of this post.   It’s from Nicky’s SITIN (stuff I think is nifty) and was sent to me for free this past Sunday.  To wit: Read more »

Buffeted by The Winds of Strange

Winds of StraingeMorning all!

Hope your week treated you well and this weekend shall shower you with peace, relaxation, never-ending coffee and all sorts of delightful goodies like that!  Me, well…today is our garage sale again, and (you knew this was coming) Accuweather has predicted a big huge bleeping thunderstorm will arrive in my town exactly when the first customers show up at my sale.  Joy!  Not!

But I digress.  :)

Let’s pounce upon today’s topic, shall we?  For today, I’ll like to lean back in my chair, steeple my hands together profoundly and inquire to my TwitterBudgies:

Are you ready for CHANGE?

Now, I’m not talking about, oh, hmmm, the lovely Read more »

I REALLY want to beat someone up!

Sparring!Morning all,

Today is Week 2 in my insane work mode (18 hour days plus garage sale prepping for Fri/Sat)!  The good news is the end truly is in sight…and the bad news is, well, I really want to beat someone up.

But it’s not what you think! :)

You see, one of my favorite activities is karate sparring.  This wondrous activity has me wearing fighting gear (head protector, chest protector, gloves, feet, etc.) and going toe-to-toe with black belts who could easily mop the floor with me.  Still, though, it’s most character-building indeed - there’s something about Read more »

Covert Angel time - Rescuing your friends’ personal domain name site!

Angels in disguiseMorning!

If there’s one thing I really adore in life (besides my family and coffee and friends and coffee and karate sparring and coffee and family and …), it’s doing good deeds for the folks who make my world ‘go round.

Since 2001, I’ve been maintaining a site for a brilliant PR marketer (and wonderful friend).  Alas, in 2005…he missed on the renewal of his domain name…and lost the site entirely (a squatter bought it).

Not fear, figured  I…turning on a dime, I had  him register a variant of his name and rebuilt everything from the ground up.  And life was good.

Well!  Enter this morning.  I was updating the site to incorporate a really super coolio neato idea that I’ve been designing for the past 2 weeks…and idly decided to check if his name ever became available again.

And lo and behold, Read more »

Life is a four letter word - I think you spell it L-O-V-E

HeartMorning all!

Today is another fine exciting start of the week, and what a week is in store for me!  Not only can I indulge in the joys of raising me family, but I also have to dot the t’s and cross the i’s for my latest product…and that means finishing:

    • aMember backend/configuration
    • Product packaging
    • Finishing the 7 day eTutorial
    • Setting up the ezine
    • Completing the graphics
    • Configuring the helpdesk’

and tons other stuff!   But hey, it’s character-building!

But I digress.  :)

On to today’s topic!

Today I’m in the mood to show gratitude to the people I love.

Long long ago, back before the earth’s crust cooled Read more »

On choosing critical friendship priorities

Quality friendshipsMorning all,

Have you ever had really important work your own important to accomplish….and then realized, other friends are counting on you as well?

This situation was brought home to me yesterday when I was decompressing from the joys of an 18hour-a-day workweek and the Fri/Sat garage sale.  I’m currently in Get Product Launch Ready mode…and my days are filled with everything required for that including: Read more »

I made Big Bleeping Money with my garage sale!

Can you find it?Morning!

My gosh, to call myself virtually burned out more than an extinct volcano would be to consider myself energetic past all human sanity!

Yes indeed, my delightful opportunities of getting up at 2am every day and pulling 18 hour, ahem, joyful moments of entrepreneuring, coupled with getting our garage sale ready, has finally caught up with me.

But hey, it’s character-building!!

Actually, things worked out better Read more »

Repelling the Pine Cone of Painful Recession

Morning!

And when I say "Morning", I mean MORNING….I’ve been up since 2am!

Luckily, my insane workmode has produced fantastic results, and I’m still (get this!) actually coherent as well!

Will miracles never cease.  But I digress.  :)
