2009 Animal Planet Hero of the Year!

It’s that time of year again – nominations for the Animal Planet Hero of the Year!  For those of you who are unfamiliar with this award, it’s geared towards recognizing those among us who truly go out of their way to rescue/help animals, be they wild, domesticated, abandoned and the like.

I have decided I’m going to nomiate Victor Buddy Amato.  The man is simply tireless when it comes to making the world a better place for animals – from breaking the horrible Cat Killer case to handling dozens of animal cruelty cases a week to traveling the state for animal welfare legislation….I honestly do not know someone who deserves the honor more.
