Admit it, I got your attention!

Actually, this post is an extremely….fun….post for me to write.

See, it all started with my husband, magnificent man that he is.  It's time for a wardrobe upgrade and change for me, so he suggested that I get myself professionally  fitted, bra-wise,  at Nordstroms.

Now, keep in mind that having breastfed a passel of kids and also having bravely battled unrelenting gravity now for several centuries, I've always figgered that I'm a 36C.

And what I discovered today….wow oh wow, am I barking up the wrong tree!

Turns out…I'm a natural 36F.

Well flap my earlobes and call me Dumbo!

This was astonishing to me for approximately 37 reasons, including:

• I've been wearing the wrong size now for, oh, hmmm, 2+ decades?
• When I finally actually wore the correctly-fitting bra, it was more comfortable than battling Orcs in World of Warcraft
• And my oh my, I looked….hot!

Given the fact my ankles are seceding from the rest of my body and eventually I'll have to get them fused, I'll take hotness on whatever body part I can grab!  🙂

So….imagine if you will…..

But *admit it* – it's hysterical!  You *really* want to watch until the end – what a great one-liner!

1.)  Your current view of your blogging abilities might be (heavens!) just plain *wrong*.

Ever since the decline and fall of the Roman Empire, I pegged myself at 36C.

And it was just plain wrong.

Now…let's apply this to your blogging abilities, shall we?

You might be comforted to think:

• OMG I'm just a neeeeeeewbie!
• OMG I'll never become an authority
• OMG I just wrote, like, OMG!

But did you ever give yourself permission to really…..

See your blogging abilities the way they *truly* are?

Hmmmm?

It can be really scary to all of a sudden realize that HEY!  I'm GOOD with a capital G!

But it can also be a very, ahem, freeing realization as well.

Have you considered the above?

Next, (to quote my father), big huge knockers are similar to big huge blogging like so:

2.)  Even if you are a hugely prolific , it doesn't mean a damned thing unless *two* (not one, but *two*) entities appreciate it.

Can you guess who those two thingees are?

The first is *you*.

If you don't honor yourself for your blogging efforts, honestly….why the heck are you wasting your time?

And the second is

Your audience.

In the land of huge knockers (again, to quote the father), your audience is most likely your significant other.  It's really great to be appreciated!!

And in the realm of Macgyver-like bloggers, your audience is comprised of:

• Your readers.
• Your network.
• Your fanbase.

Do *they* appreciate you?

Do *they* make you feel great about your work?

It's something on which to ponder.

And finally, the niftiest comparison between perky boobie hugeness and realistic blogging is:

3.)  It's *okay* to accept yourself….as you *really* are.

Your current viewpoint of yourself might…..

Be…..

(dare I even hint at it?)

*wrong*.

You might have already surpassed goals you had set months ago…but have yet to give yourself permission to acknowledge your achievement.

It's reassuring to stay within friendly boundaries, after all…..letting yourself realize you've evolved *requires* you to expand your area of comfort.

Are you up for that?

Well, I'll tell you this….I sure wasn't up for what I learned earlier at Nordstrom today!

But I'm making it my own even as we speak.

Give yourself…the same gift as a great blogger.  Your bottom line will thank you for it.
