Today’s Thought to Share - Did you buy Gilligan’s Island?

Share!Morning all!  Today’s thought to share focuses upon that popular show of the 1960’s, Gilligan’s Island.

You remember that show of course with the famous theme:

"Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, That started from this tropic port, aboard this tiny ship. The mate was a mighty sailin’ man, the Skipper brave and sure. Five passengers set sail that day for a three hour tour. A three hour tour.

The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed. If not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Minnow would be lost. The Minnow would be lost. The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle,

with Gilligan, the Skipper too, the Millionaire

Did you know that the original boat, the SS Minnow, will soon embrace public tours?  But not only that - the original island was sold for 2.6 million dollars.

But probably not to Gilligan.  :)

    Hi Barbara,
    Now that’s a show that certainly brings back memories.  It was a great show & ran for many years and we loved it.  :grin:
