Morning!
Well, it looks like as my kids and I grow, Camp Ling gets modified big-time. While academics are all very well and good, I do find myself valuing what the kids are learning on their own as they teach themselves the fine art of blogging.
Take yesterday! Honorable Daughter I came to me at 7:00pm last night (I had awakened at 1:30am that morning and only got a 2 hour nap that day) and said:
Mom! I sensed you were resting! Here I am!
Actually, her main reason for my room foray was to gravely explain, now I know why you want me to write and read your blog posts! I just finished my second post, c’mon, check it out!
You see, after zooming from 0 to 60 regarding World of Warcraft, the dear girl has decided, golly, writing in my blog is far more enjoyable! $60 down the drain, whomp, bye-bye (that’s now much the 2 month membership cost) but hey, I figure….it’s cheaper than DisneyWorld. I do have the WoW handbook that I snagged on eBay – joy. Sigh.
Anywhos, I’ve been in ‘cast my spirit to the stars’ workmode (ie, insane pace and churning out excellent results while running myself into the ground), so while I was working me toes off, so were my kids (except they were blogging). And the creative writing that resulted – my gosh, how super! So I’m quite pleased, all in all.
Thus, today’s Camp Ling – blogging, karate, math and our Raspberry walk. Wheeeee!
I’ll have to write more about the kids and blogging – it’s turning out very very delightful indeed.
Time to dive into coffee,
Barbara Ling
