Cat Killer Trial on Monday - When tragedy strikes locally ….do your part as a blogger

Welcome! If you're new to my site, click HERE to let me show you where the best benefits for yourself are located. Thanks for visiting!

Cat KillerMorning all,

As you’ve probably noticed if you’ve read my blog, you’ll know that I’m about personal development, making money online, raising brilliantly challenging children, worshipping the beverage of the Gods (ie, coffee) and things like that.

But that’s only one facet of who I am!  I’m also an international trainer, an experienced researcher…and an undeniable animal lover to the Nth extreme.

While the following could be a bit MORE local to me, it’s very relevant to all animal lovers and cat fanciers in particular.  It appeared in local media as well as the National Enquirer, to wit:

…An Aberdeen man, whose arrest for the torture and killing of 19 cats shocked his neighbors and horrified those who had entrusted him with their animals, was indicted Tuesday by a Monmouth County grand jury on 19 counts of animal cruelty.

Anthony Appolonia, 50, has been held in the Monmouth County Jail on $105,000 bail since his arrest on Dec. 21 by Victor "Buddy" Amato, the chief of police for the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Citing the torture inflicted on the animals — many just kittens — Amato described it as one of the worst cases of animal cruelty he had ever investigated.

In several instances, Amato said, Appolonia would break the cat’s bones by throwing the animals against the wall. He would then torment the cats and drown them, Amato said.

Investigators were tipped to the possible wrongdoing when Appolonia told a man he didn’t have any cats, although a woman had asked that man to check on the kitten she said she had just given Appolonia, Amato said at the time of the arrest.….MORE….

I just found out that the case goes to trial this Monday in Freehold, NJ.  I urge you to get the word out to all animal lovers in our great nation; this person, Appolonia, should have not only the book thrown at him, but the entire library as well.

Let’s now bring this post back to you.  Do you focus your blog solely upon your niche…and that’s all?  No posts that are unrelated see the light of day?

If so, I can certainly understand…but…

Do NOT underestimate the power you have to do good in alerting your fellow residents whenever problems or issues come up that could benefit from a grass-roots effort!

I firmly believe that what goes around, comes around…and publicizing cases where justice is about to be served can only be a Good Thing Indeed.

Chief Amato is to be commended for his quick actions and Sherlock Holmes investigative skills.  I anticipate the trial will bring quite a lot of TV and newspaper coverage.

Let your fellow cat-fanciers know,

Barbara Ling
