Good morning!
Yesterday, we enjoyed some fun stuff!
Today, it’s time to dive back into creating marketing success online… and today is a weeee bit…. controversial.

It’s okay to buy bright shiny objects because….
See:
BSOs (Bright Shiny Objects) are acquired when you buy something because it excites your senses and it makes you feel good to think you’re on your way.
But possibly the next day, the next thrilling possibility comes down the road so you buy that too….
… and the next day….
… and the next day….
SO MANY PEOPLE do this!
But I personally….
… think that’s *okay*.
Here’s why.
I’ve been a veteran marketer now for over *20 years*.
And I’ve personally given away thousands of dollars of premium training….
(for reasons I will not get into – let’s just say I was moved to be grand)….
And you know how much that was put into use?
0.
Nada.
A.Big.Huge.Zero.
And why is that?
It’s because no matter HOW often you lead people to “how to make profits”…
NOTHING will happen until they give themselves permission to begin.
Let me repeat that, okay?
NOTHING will happen until they give themselves permission to begin.
So they keep buying and buying *for the future*.
They buy because it makes them feel good (Oprah, anyone?).
They buy because they can tell themselves, okay! ÿI might not be ready NOW…. but when I AM… I’ll have all this goodness waiting for me!
In a nutshell, it’s retail therapy.
And that’s quite okay indeed.
I mean, how many people buy:
* Memberships to gyms they will never use because they decide that THIS year, they’ll lose weight!
* Infomercial exercise machines (for much the same reason)
* Skincare products (I too can look like Christine Brinkley even though the vast majority of her looks are due to plastic surgery!)
They buy because it makes them feel better.
NEVER KNOCK FEELING BETTER!
But you know what can eventually happen?
Eventually (especially if they followed my earlier advice and surrounded themselves with like-minded individuals) …
*They DO*.
They have achieved enough confidence to START.
And that makes all the difference!
So if you like buying bright shiny objects, more power to you….
