The Long-Forgotten Secrets Henry Ford Can Teach You About Internet Marketing

Integrated Moving Assembly Line

PrintFriendly

Wow, what a day yesterday!

It was quite a character-building time indeed.  You see, yesterday I bravely packed 5 teenage girls into my MooseMobile and took them to see SHINee in concert!

In other words….*this*.

Good news is, kids had a tremendous blast!

Rather fascinating news for me was, well, I had 12 hours or so to work in my Bell Labs workbook and also reread:

Legend

Love the author David Gemmel; it was from his books that I first read an honest-to-god story about a "hero".  From that, I incorporated several codes into my own character, which led to me building several hero sites, uncovering inscribed words, making allegories about diamonds and more.  Re-reading it proved to be a pivotal point in me life yesterday.

But I digress.  :)

Anywhos!  While waiting for 9 hours for the concert to start, I also started sketching out my latest ideas for products online.

And I remembered….Henry Ford.

You know this guy, right?  My family and I visited his museum in Michigan back in, hmmmm, 2006?  It contains goodies like:

But what I really remembered was the following.

Henry Ford mastered the Assembly Line method of manufacturing.

An interchangeable piece here was created, an interchangeable piece there, and then at the end, the whole fleet Model Ts could be produced…one after another.

Like so.

Now, I vividly remember this, because it occurred to me back then…I had the software knowledge to do the same "assembly line" building with my portal sites.

I just never got around to it.

Zoom up to yesterday!

As I was sitting in the extremely uncomfortable chairs, I broke down what is required to make a niche infoproduct.

And it's this.

Step 1.)  Start with the Niche Goal.

It could be:

  • Become an Authority Figure in Niche
  • Make Money in Niche
  • Niche Marketing for Asian Americans

Step 2.)  Break down the Niche Goal into sub-steps.

Let's say you want to become an Authority Figure in Niche.

Substeps might be:

  • Start Niche Blog
  • Add Niche-specific Social Networking Plugins
  • Participate in Niche Forums

Step 3.)  For each substep, create a text file that includes H1s, H2s, etc.

Thus, you might have the directory

  • NicheAuthority

and within that, have the files:

  • 1-StartNicheBlog.txt
  • 2-AddNichePlugins.txt
  • 3-ParticipateNicheForums.txt

Each file would have a H1 tag with the title and several H2 tags to break up the information in logical, sequential pieces.

Step 4.)  Once every topic has been written about, append each text file one after another in order.

If you've made Amazon kindle books, you're probably already seeing where I'm going with this.  :)

After appending the entire collection of files, you'll have a wonderful HTML file that you can:

  • Import into Word/Open Office.  Boom!  Instant ebook!
  • Kindleize!  Boom!  Instant Kindle!

Do you see how powerful the above technique can be?

In essence…

You create the assembly line pieces of generic NICHE information

Then you do a FIND/REPLACE of

  • Niche

with

  • Your specific Niche (ie, Atkins, NASCAR, coffee, etc.)

And voila – instant infoproduct/ebook/autoresponder series/etc. is created for you.

Now, true, I sketched this out in my lab notebook only yesterday and have yet to put it into practice…but I *know* the idea is sound.  Heck, I built the software that would create autoblogging sites and portal sites for any niche specified back in 2004…so I *know* it can be done.

The challenge, of course, is doing it.  :)

Which I plan on tackling today.

Thus, when you consider making your next product for the online markets, ask yourself…

What part can you excise and place into an assembly line for future product creation?

The answer might enable you to take that next leap towards your online income.

Grow strong,

Your thoughts about the assembly lines tieing into to niche sites, gave me different idea’s to be honest. You are giving a specific plan for a specific idea.
I am not into pumping out a mass of sites, just playing, well being slack too with a couple of personal sites that have no real direction but the subjects interest me !!!! I see Henry Ford though, as a reminder of have a plan and execute the sites as planned. I do sometimes wonder about this man, if he would be turning in his grave now that the company that bares his name has lacked development in new technologies in the last couple of decades, with so much hydrogen cell information out there, he was a great inventor and go getter, I doubt he would have let the huge energy monopolies, (Oil Companies) hold him back. But that is a story for another day as I get off topic here !!! Cheers.
