- Dramatically KILLER Wisdom for 2012 – Be Open To The Blindingly Unexpected… | Barbara Ling, Your Outrageous Virtual Coach - [...] Actually, I did both. [...]
Yep.
Me too.
It's hell…
Or is it?
After what I've gone thru…I think not.
Let me invite you to sit back, relax, start chanting "Ommmmmmmm", play this relaxing new age music:
No no, wait, that's not it, let me try again:
Eeek! One last try!
Ah, that's better!
Here's what happened awhile back.
I miscalculated some rather important things that caused past actions of mine to self-combust into a blindingly brilliant flaming ball of doom.
Something….like this.
But I digress.
Anywhos!
I had two choices!
I could either:
Feel miserable!
or
Take that energy and propel in bunches of monetary goodness!
Seriously, though, while I still have bunches of healing regarding ghosts of my past, I did give myself plenty of time to honor my feelings and emotions….that gave me the strength to finally let them go.
Once that was over, I decided to be….a wee bit….productive.
And this is what I did.
I wrote:
==> Why I did this:
I truly believe that what goes around, comes around…and proactively being there either for my readers, my friends, my family….it's a Good Thing indeed.
2.) Next, I took my wasted effort…and put it to good use.Awhile back, I had built The Hero Within You – a site that was meant to provide positive cheer to someone. Alas, it backfired quite dramatically.
These things happen.
So…..I revamped the site and dedicated it towards *my* inner hero, that aspect of my personality which compels me to do the right thing and look out for others ahead of my own self-interests.
Yay!
==> Why I did this:
I chose to do this action because it validated my intentions of a Good Thing. The fact it now benefits *me*, instead of someone else…that's just an added bonus (because quite frankly, I tend to put myself last in many situations. I'm working on this, never fear).
Plus…it's making a direct statement to my inner spirit – I had done what I viewed was a Good Thing. It still *is* a Good Thing…and it's something I simply choose not to regret.
Woot!
I perused the latest of quality infoproducts out there, and settled on:
15 Pre-Monetized "Done for you" Niche Sites
It's a great product for people who don't want to write their own infoproduct.
This made me very happy indeed.
==> Why I did this:
When you feel like hell, you have two choices.
You can either wallow in self-pity (which is actually quite enjoyable sometimes)…or you can tell the world, "f*ck that bleep, I'm going to succeed."
After my well-deserved pity party, I dove kneecap-first into the second option.
My Paypal balance is quite thrilled indeed.
I used to be quite active there!
So I checked out my previous signature, and saw it simply went back to my site. Not good enough, decreed I….so, like my Twelcome to Twitter page, I built my Welcome Fellow Warrior! page.
==> Why I did this:
The Warrior Network consists of both seasoned and newbie marketers. Thus, it only makes sense that I should offer a personal greetings that is tailored to their needs.
Check it out…you'll see what I mean.
To be honest, I really have dropped the ball with staying in contact with my lists.
I have two main lists; on Monday, I send out my sale of the week, and on Thursday, I remind people of that plus give them humor, insights and the like.
I do the same thing for the other list, only on Tuesdays and Fridays.
This has resulted in my Paypal balance steadily increasing (love it when that happens!).
==> Why I did this:
Money.
I like it.

What a ride, eh?
And to think, this whole thing started when my good intentions blew up.
Funny how life works, eh?
The next time you feel beset by icky, worthless feelings, or the next time someone reacts negatively to your good intentions, do this.
It's human nature and let's face it – feeling sorry for yourself is a great way to process excess energy and then *let it go*.
You do *not* (not not NOT!) own someone else's reactions.
It's *their* problem and issue if they choose to react negatively…not yours.
This is rather important, mind you.
Even though there were misunderstandings that might never be resolved….that's okay.
You don't know why someone reacted as they did; they probably feel they were 100% correct.
So let it go, silently wish them well, and move on.
Take a good long look at what you chose to do.
Devise a plan of action….and then make it so.
You probably created boatloads of goodness – make that goodness work for you.
After all, you deserve it.
You're probably not the only person to fail horribly. And you know something?
Admitting that…it's a show of growth.
Thus, confess to your readers as did I your incredible failure.
Try to add bunches of humor if at all possible, like…
More Fail-Worthy Than This!
More agonizing than this!
Anything that makes your readers smile…and lets them know that they're not alone.
It's not the end of the world if you're stupid.
It's also not the end of the world if you are dumber than 6 shorn sheep trying out for Locks of Love.
Life goes on.
So….revisit your niche, find a product to promote, give some freebies in your newsletter/email as well….and just freakin' *do it*.
Your Paypal balance will love you!
Check out your signature.
Is it pointing to a targeted welcome page?
If not, fix that.
*Today*.

In closing, remember, when life beans you with lemons, corner the market on fruit juice.
It's the best way to be.
I'd like to leave you with one of my favorite songs….it's truly a way to view life.
Grow strong,

Good stuff, Barb. Don’t know how I can use it yet, but I will.
I recently lost everything except my laptop and my dog. Every other vestige of my old life is gone. So its time to make fruit juice, ‘cept I can’t seem to locate the lemons!
BTW, I’ve been following you for years. Always get a kick out of your zany style.
Wow, I sure hear you on that (losing everything!!) Best wishes a deluge of lemons to help you along.
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for sharing and providing these tips. I have read them with a great interest and it has boosted my power to work online. I lost almost everything and now making plans to start up again. Best wishes to you.

Thanks so much!
Hey Barbara,
Way to get up and dust yourself off and get back to work!
I noticed you said you only send two emails a week to each list… I was going to point out that if you doubled that you might also double your earnings
Just a thought…
Cheers,
Coby Wright
Hi Coby!
That’s only one of me lists – I send daily emails to my Inner Circle and Made Fresh Daily lists. totally agree with you!
