Insane Luxury – starts at $47,000 Audio Stereo Turntable
May 27th, 2008 | By Barbara | Category: Insights
You’ve heard of records, right? Those round things that you can play on a record player?
Well, if you’re an audio connoisseur, chances are, your typical Radio Shack thingee just ain’t gonna your audio collection justice. So for you more discriminating types, consider instead The Montegiro Lusso Turntable, yours for a mere 47K! To wit:
The lusso is built upon alternate layers of aluminium and black acrylic, including the topsy-turvy cone for the aluminium platter fitted with an acrylic platter! The lusso is driven by a newly developed, extremely precise high-end synchronous motor suspended within one of the cones. The cones, connected to each other, embrace height-adjustable feet that serve for perfect set-up. Even the carbon tonearm, mounted on a cone, demonstrates high style.
Both the base version of the lusso with three cones and the top-of-the-line model with four cones and two tonearms provide the perfect symbiosis of technique and design!
The basic configuration consists of a 10” carbon arm from Da Vinci (model Nobile), and the MG1 from the montegiro family, a state-of-the-art pickup-system from titanium. The top-of-the-line model with four cones includes a 9” SME, model 5009 tonearm. Other armboards are, of course, available upon request …MORE….
The turntable STARTS at a mere 47K. Is one in YOUR future, or would the following be better?
Personally, I stick with VPI turntables myself – why, they’re TwitterBudgie approved!
Enjoy,
Barbara

I don’t know about 47k for a record player, maybe like 200 dollars for an iPod cause we are living in the year 2008. This is the future, we should be embracing digital format. Although I love the sound of vinyls.
I’ll pick one up on my way home from purchasing the gold iPhone.
@TeamBuilding
I grew up to the sounds of vinyl!
@Dennis
Super idea! Don’t forget the $175 hamburger too.
