Kick-boxing, reality mining and one hell of a backache

Morning!

This morning I actually slept past (get this!) 3am and I went to bed last night at (more get this!) 9:45pm. Now, a normal bed time for me is 7pm (isn’t it for everyone?) and a normal wakeup time is 3am. However, I did make a promise to myself last weekend that I’d take time for ME…and try to attend the adult karate classes in the evening without being comatose the next morning. I believe I’m actually achieving this somewhat lofty goal. :)

Me-wise, yesterday was quite enjoyable – spent time with the kids, did my blogging, and attended both Kendo sparring and kick boxing. Alas, we didn’t gear up in Kendo (wah!) but the sensei had us run thru some rather useful blocks and drills. And kick-boxing; my, it’s ‘way different than karate sparring/BJJ as you want to get close in and pummel the person. Seems like blocking is kinda sorta secondary, but hey, it was just the first day.

Workwise, I wrote:

plus did various other non-blogging work thingees.

Today should be relatively quiet – I might have pulled my back a wee bit yesterday so I’m going to take it ‘way easy today! There’s only advanced karate this afternoon, so I’ll take the kids perhaps on the circle walk (especially if it starts to rain :) ).

Time to start the day,

Barbara
