Good morning!
Yesterday, we started talking about ways to make money online, and began by affiliate marketing.
Today, let’s switch gears a wee bit and talk aboug:
List Building and Making Money Online

What exactly IS list building?
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t profit from merely *having a list*.
After all, a “list” is simply a collection of email addresses from folks who have given you their permission to contact them.
You could have a list of 10K individuals… but if you never send a followup message, your business earns zero income.
And make no mistake about it. Having your own list and networking with your own community….
… that IS part of your business!
I will confess – I have very controversial ideas about list building.
I believe it’s an honor to have people on my list….
AND…..
I believe it’s an honor for folks to be ON my list.
It’s a 2 way street!
So for me, if people unsubscribe…
… I wish them well. They run their business the way they want, and I do the same for me.
It’s a win win!
Now, how to store a list?
Well, that’s where autoresponder providers come into play.
Platforms like:
- aWeber
- GetResponse
- SendLane
- eMail Jeet (desktop, use coupon barbcoffeeej to take off big on LIFETIME)
I myself use aWeber and GetResponse (redundant I am!) and ideally this year, will get eMailJeet up as well (I bought lifetime there too).
And how do you build your list?
There are many ways, including:
- Creating an optin page (lead magnet) and driving folks there to sign up (Leadpages is one way to make stunning optins, btw – that’s another of the tools I use)
- Launching a product (when people buy, you can set it up so they are automatically added to your list. I do that lots as well.)
- Offering a bonus on other people’s products (that’s called getting on the backend of launches. People buy someone else’s product and on the download page, they see a bonus from you. If they opt in for that bonus, you get a buyer’s lead on your list.
- Sending paid traffic (solo ads) to an optin page (I’ve never done that so meh. I’m not a good source of info for that)
These are just *some* of the ways you can build your own list.

The thing for you to remember is:
A list is useless to you unless you use that list!

- Daily Morning Perkup (all about my day and what products were released – that goes to many of my lists)
- Product Announcements (that’s where I alert folks in real time about product releases)
