You know, it’s been said that Google is really improving the way it calculates its SERPs. So I figured, hmmmm! The sites that are listed for Make Money Online must really help people….make money online?

What do you think?

Some Make Money Online contenders that caught my eye:

• Make Money Online - The last update on this site was from 2007.
• Make Money Online: 100+ Tools and Resources - From Mashable.com, this is a super resource and delivers on the title. READ IT!
• Make Money with a 13 Year Old - I remember this site from a few months ago. I like how he has an optin autoresponder smack dab in the middle of the header - that’s great for followup marketing. Sample post - Bum Marketing, Does It Still Work?
• Can I Make Big Money Online? - Some nice content, posts are current and up to date (sample post - The Strategy Behind NOT Collecting a Free List).
• Gather Success - claims to be #1 for ‘make money online’ in asia. Lots of good tips like 4 Powerful Tips On Writing Content That Makes Money For Your Blog.

So then I said to myself, gee self! What about searching for

Make money blogging

The results here were quite interesting. I figured Darren’s site would be number 1 - it’s not! True, it’s number 4, but still…

I found:

• Blogging Experiment - Excellent content! I ADORED the article How to Become a Guru Online - it included this gem:

• Becoming an internet marketing guru is pretty easy. Here’s what you have to do to become one…
• Step 1 - Start an internet business.
• Step 2 - Work your butt off and have amazing success with it.
• Step 3 - After reaching the “wealthy stage”, you decide to give back.
• Step 4 - You work hard to share your knowledge with others.
• Step 5 - You get criticized and scrutinized for your every move.
• Step 6 - People think you are a fraud and are only out to rip people off.
• Sounds pretty exciting! Where can I sign up?

Other posts were equally as insightful such as Finding Your Blog’s Persona. Highly recommended.

• Steve Pavlina How To Make Money From Your Blog - this article is exactly 2 years old today….but the wisdom it includes is priceless. He recommends knowing technologies like:

He also has a sterling forum where you can learn lots about all aspects of online business, personal development and more.

• How Bloggers Make Money from Blogs - From Darren, the original Problogger. His site is mandatory reading - he always gives far more than than 99% of the worlds’ population would offer.

• Blogging - The most popular way to make money - From SuccesswithAuctions, this article is actually pretty sparse.

• BloggerNoob.com - Some interesting articles such as Throwing Money Away. He writes what he experiences.

So it does appear that Google is doing its best to provide relevant content for those people who want to make money on the Internet. But remember - it doesn’t matter how much great advice you receive…unless you start to implement it for yourself.
